wpForo AI Features operate on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when AI processes content for search, moderation, translation, and other features. This page explains how credits work and the available subscription plans.
Understanding AI Credits
Credits are the currency of AI operations. Different features consume different amounts of credits based on:
- Operation Type – Search, moderation, translation, etc.
- Quality Level – Fast, Balanced, or Advanced processing
- Content Length – Longer content may use more credits
- Context Usage – Using forum context for better AI responses

Free Indexing Credits
When you first connect to wpForo AI, you can request free credits for initial content indexing. This ensures your forum content is available for AI features to work properly.
How to Request Free Credits:
- Go to Dashboard > wpForo > AI Features
- Click on the Connection tab
- Click “Request Free Indexing Credits”
- Credits are typically granted within 24 hours
Free indexing credits are calculated based on your forum size (number of topics and posts).
Subscription Plans
wpForo AI offers flexible subscription plans to meet different forum needs:
Starter Plan
- Credits: 1,000 credits/month
- Best for: Small forums, testing AI features
- Features: All AI features included
Professional Plan
- Credits: 3,000 credits/month
- Best for: Medium-sized active forums
- Features: All AI features + priority support
Business Plan
- Credits: 9,000 credits/month
- Best for: Large forums with heavy AI usage
- Features: All AI features + priority support + advanced analytics
Managing Your Credits
Checking Credit Balance
View your current credit balance in the AI Features dashboard:
- Go to Dashboard > wpForo > AI Features
- The Connection tab shows your current balance
- The Analytics tab shows usage trends
Credit Rollover
Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period. Plan your usage accordingly.
Credit Alerts
You’ll receive notifications when:
- Credits fall below 20% of monthly allocation
- Credits are exhausted
- Subscription renewal is approaching
Optimizing Credit Usage
Tips to maximize your credits:
- Choose appropriate quality levels – Use “Fast” for high-volume, less critical operations
- Enable caching – Translations and summaries are cached to prevent duplicate processing
- Set user limits – Configure maximum AI calls per user/session
- Exempt trusted users – Skip spam detection for established members
- Use rate limiting – Prevent abuse with request limits
Subscription Management
To manage your subscription:
- Visit the wpForo Account Page
- Go to the Subscriptions section
- Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan
